So for those of you who are wondering what the heck I'm doing right now, I am about to leave for the Lexington Airport and fly to Atlanta and on to LA. Here is my full itinerary-
My itinerary is -
Sept. 2 Fly LEX to Atlanta to LAX (overnight stay)
Sept. 3 Fly to Bangkok with stop in Osaka (Int'l dateline and overnight stay)
Sept. 5 Fly to New Delhi
Sept. 5 Arrival and Orientation in New Delhi
Sept. 6-7 Travel to Dharamsala
Sept. 12 - Oct. 7 Intensive Tibetan Language Study, Tibetan Thematic
Seminar, Field Study Seminar (FSS), and Practicum, with concurrent
homestay in Dharamsala
Oct. 8 Depart from Dharamsala (night bus - like Harry Potter perhaps?)
Oct. 9-10 Free days in Delhi with optional excursion to main sites of the
capital.
Oct. 11-15 Travel to Kathmandu and prepare for Tibet excursion. There
will be some lectures in Nepal continuing with the Tibetan Thematic Seminar.
Oct. 16 - Nov. 8 Educational excursion to Tibet (conditions permitting),
with concurrent Tibetan Studies Seminar and language classes.
Nov. 9-12 Return to Kathmandu and Independent Study Project (ISP) preparation
Nov. 13 - Dec. 9 ISP Period
Dec. 10-17 Evaluation week, with ISP presentations, program evaluation,
and re-entry workshop in Kathmandu
Dec. 18 Fly to Bangkok (overnight stay)
Dec. 19 Fly to Hong Kong, meet up with Tom
Dec. 25 Fly Hong Kong to Bangkok (overnight stay)
Dec. 26 Fly Bangkok to LAX to Cincinnatti to LEX
