Looking forward
Tuesday, March 27th, 2007With less than 10 days until Melissa and I set out on our journey the same questions run across my mind daily. Who and what will I miss the most? What will be our first major problem? I know that, I don’t even know, what could lie ahead. I know Melissa will be there to remind me why we left and what we have to come back to. Leaving, America, leaving home and (almost) everything I know has been a dream for so many years I have trouble convincing myself it is really going to happen. Now that we are almost ready to step out of our lives here of course they have only gotten sweeter. Brett pointed out long ago that traveling the world isnt about what you take with you but what you leave behind. It has been great spending more time with friends and family, and doing all the things that I wont be able to in a month. However the stress of it all, which comes in waves, is unbelievably overwhelming.
