A day at Perugia

I have a great love of art and architecture, so when I have a bit of time, I love discovering places, villages and cities of our Italian peninsula, managing to find places without any doubt very fascinating and surprising as a whole.

One of the most beautiful cities that I had the opportunity to discover during one of my trips is certainly that of Perugia, the regional capital of Umbria and the beautiful town of ancient origin, rich in monuments, palaces and ancient history.

The city of Perugia has been our goal for a splendid day holiday in May, along with my husband and my two children I have reached the town for half of our car and when you find parking, we began our adventure …

Streets and alleys of the old town of Perugia are full of small shops that offer products and pieces of local handicrafts, so we decided that, in return, we would have stopped to buy something …

There are many monuments that we could see during our day at Perugia, all very distinctive and extraordinary beauty, one that we have struck most certainly remember the Arco Etrusco, which is also known under the name Arch of Augustus, Palazzo della Penna, the College of Mercanzia, Palazzo Gallenga Stuard, home of the famous University for Foreigners and the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, which stands right in the heart of the city.
