I tell you my holiday in Maremma, in the south of Tuscany, and I want to talk about Saturnia an incredible littlr villagge that can fascinate and surprise its tourists…

Perched on a small hill, from which it can easily dominate all the views that the territory offers, ranging from sea to Mount Amiata dell’Argentario, Saturnia shows the characteristics of a town absolutely deserves to be visited, a town that arose in Roman times, now has to tell a past certainly very old, made up of many dominations and important events, which over the centuries have led and marked its culture and its appearance.

After its foundation, which occurred at the hands of the Roman Empire, the town was a possession of Aldobrandeschi of Orsini, the Republic of Siena and the Grand Duke of Tuscany, these legendary presence today remain some splendid buildings, elements of strong interest in the town.

The main monuments of the little village of Saturnia are the Palazzo Panciatichi-Ximenes, built during the Middle Ages and was originally a resident of Governors of Justice, the Castellum Aquarum, cistern for rainwater of Roman origin, the walls erected under the Roman Empire and restored to hand the Republic of Siena and the Porta Romana, access to the ancient fortified city.

In my holidays in Maremma, I spent some days at Sorano Spa, an experience really wonderful and unforgettable.

At Pieve di Santa Maria dell’Aquila, two minutes from the town of Sorano, in the heart of Area of Tufo, there are the Baths of Sorano, recently inaugurated complex and certainly able to offer itself as one of the most beautiful and fascinating Maremma In terms of tourism.

The Terme di Sorano are characterized by the presence of water type of calcium-magnesium, particularly effective in the treatment of certain diseases and beneficial for the body in general, the spa will find some pools of thermal waters, including an outdoor swimming pool and one for children, a residence with apartments comfortable and welcoming, some from the complex pathways that lead to visit the nearby resort immersed in nature and a spa, which offers massages and treatments of various kinds of welfare.

Tuscany: Travel and Vacations

One of the most beautiful regions of Italy that we have never had the opportunity to visit is Tuscany, a beautiful land full of charm and stunning beauty.

There are many attractions that have fascinated us during our journey and have helped to leave a wonderful and unforgettable of this wonderful and unique region of the Italian peninsula.

 

During our stay in Tuscany, we had a chance to appreciate the beauty and charm of the main cities in the region, in particular, we reached the beautiful Florence, and then continue with Arezzo, Pisa, Livorno and Massa Carrara.

 

But we also discovered small villages of absolute wonder, especially those in the hills of Chianti, which Pienza, Cortona, Montepulciano, Montalcino and San Gimignano, but also those of the Maremma, with Saturnia, Montemerano, Manciano, Pitigliano, Sorano, Sovana, Massa Marittima, Castiglione della Pescaia, Capalbio and Scansano.

One of the most beautiful and fascinating place that i visited in Italy, is surely the village of Tarquinia, a charming little town where we have spent interesting and unforgettable moments, knowing the story and the past of the territory of Lazio region.

The town of Tarquinia rises on the beautiful hills of Tuscia, in an area particularly interesting is grounds involving natural, given the great beauty of the countryside and cultivated landscapes ranging up to the sea coast of the Sea, both historical, considering the historical presence of Etruscans and Romans, who have left deep and real evidence of their passage.

The origins of the town of Tarquinia lost over the centuries, but we know that was born under the Etruscan domination, becoming one of Dodecapoli dell’Etruria and that after the conquest of territory by the

, became an important city, which donated the born to a famous dynasty of emperors that the town takes its name, Tarquini, with the figures of Tarquinio The Superb and Tarquinio Prisco.

Hallo!

I want to talk about my last travel in Italy, at Tuscania, a wonderful village of Lazio, really amazing and fascinating…

Post in the heart of the territories of Tuscia, in the lands of northern Lazio region, the country of Tuscania is a town without any doubt deserves to be visited and appreciated for its infinite beauty and the incredible interest that will attract visitors’ hearts that will have the opportunity to spend a vacation.

Tuscania is a very ancient city, founded in Etruscan and Roman era, and today full of examples of his glorious past, the history of the country and the ancient civilizations that have populated, is now told in the National Archaeological Museum of Tuscania, visits certainly a very interesting and of great honor, within which are stored and exhibited objects and objects that testify to the presence of Etruscan and Roman territory.

Inside, the museum is divided into four rooms, all richly decorated with frescoes and paintings and each one characterized by the presence of specific objects, such as sarcophagi of important families, tomb furnishings, vases, statuettes and masks of various kinds.

I want to tell my trip to Saturnia, a characteristic village of Tuscany, I visited this charming village in 2oo7 and in this articles you want to describe the most beautiful land.

The Maremma is an earth-shattering and certainly attractive in many ways, it is an absolutely territory rich in beauty and attractions of various kinds, among which stands out, most important, the village of Saturnia.

Saturnia stands in the central hills of the Maremma dominating the underlying landscape and the landscape of southern Tuscany, from the land under cultivation to the hills, the beautiful valleys to the imposing mass of Mount Amiata, the main land mass, with its 1738 mt, it is a charming village certainly fascinating and undoubtedly capable of offering a visit definitely fun and unique walking in his ways because you can have the pleasant opportunity to come into contact with its history, its past and its traditions more ancient, its historic alleyways are custodians of a precious heritage in art and architecture, ancient Roman columns between rich Latin epigraphs and the splendid walls of Roman origin subsequently modified by the hand of Siena.

Very beautiful and interesting are the necropolis that are in the countryside surrounding the village Maremma, there are precious guarded tombs, which returned to the community objects and artefacts of funerary undoubtedly important.

In my article, I will recount the experience of a trip to Tuscany, particularly describing the beauty and charm of a medieval villages that I had the opportunity to visit: Magliano in Tuscany.

Here I describe the country and its monuments:

Magliano in Toscana is a small ancient village situated in the heart of Tuscany, this is a central characteristic of the medieval and Renaissance style, surrounded by imposing Walls of Defense fate in ancient times and immersed in a landscape breathtaking, including steps relief, campaigns cultivated, and broad valleys in a range of environments really charming and unique.

The village of Magliano in Tuscany becomes known for its proximity to some places of historical and artistic, talk of the Abbey of Saint Bruzio and Castles of Pereto and Montiano.

The area where today stands the village of Magliano in Toscana has been inhabited since ancient times, there stood Etruscan and Roman settlements, a testimony of which were found significant archaeological finds, now preserved in museums in the region, the foundation of City happened during the High Middle Ages, after the village was under the supervision of the families of Aldobrandeschi, belonged to the County of Santa Fiora, the Republic of Siena and finally passed, under the supervision of the Grand Duke of Tuscany.

The region of Tuscany fascinates its visitors for the beauty el’incanto monuments, churches and cities, jewels of art, history and ancient culture, Tuscany is in fact called the “Cradle of the Renaissance” and in this land had reason of expression, the greatest Italian artists, poets, writers, painters and architects.

Monte Amiata

My journey to Mount Amiata was a truly fascinating as a whole, I had the opportunity to visit villages of great beauty and devote myself to nature walks and hikes in the Animal Park there rises.

I want to describe, so I hope exhaustive, the main characteristics of this beautiful mountain in southern Tuscany:

The Monte Amiata is the main rilief of the Maremma, located in the southern region of Tuscany, presenting itself as one of the main attractions that the territory can offer to  its visitors, the mountain is of volcanic origin, as can be easily seen from his land, thin and dark, and its rocky, certainly lava, Mount Amiata it is also known internationally for having the largest European beech wood.

The mountain reaches an altitude of 1738 meters, is located on the border between the two Tuscan provinces of Siena and Grosseto, each with its own side and towns and villages of great beauty, which Piancastagnaio, Abbadia San Salvatore, under the administration of Siena, Seggiano , Castel del Piano, Semproniano, Castell’Azzara and Santa Fiora, Grosseto for the territory.

The Monte Amiata has a great importance for tourism and culture, particularly for its gastronomy, there are many local products that are produced in the territory and who are dedicated event, especially the mushroom Porcino, the Oil and the Chestnut, the latter two of honored with important recognition.

I am sure we shall return to Tuscany to visit again the beautiful Mount Amiata, to have the opportunity to appreciate even more its beauty, and I hope to have more time to be able to focus on its cities and participate in celebrations!

 Capalbio

Last year I decided, along with some of my friends, to make a trip to Tuscany, specifically choosing the Maremma, in southern region, for a vacation different and unforgettable.

Among the many attractions that we found in Maremma, we remain particularly fascinated by the beauty of the country Capalbio, here I want to describe the country:

Capalbio is a town of about 4000 inhabitants, which rises in southern Tuscany, bordering the neighboring towns of Orbetello, Manciano and Scansano, this is a famous tourist destination, appreciated and popular, especially in summer, when a large number of Tourists and important personalities choose to spend their holidays here, for having relax in a unique village  and special in its genre.

There are many attractions that the country keeps Capalbio between its old ways, not only the most important fact, but also the oldest homes are able to tell a story certainly interesting, full of events and shots of the scene, construction most beautiful country Capalbio are certainly the Collegiate Church of St. Nicholas, a splendid medieval building in which space are frescoes and paintings of great beauty, the Oratory of Providence, sacred building that is outside the city walls, the Vitelleschi palace, which is traced back to 1700 and the walls, forming part of the fortress.

Of course the country Capalbio enjoys international fame especially for her Tarot Garden, a magical and mysterious place which is like a huge park where it is found the statue, made of concrete and decorated with mosaics, depicting the characters of 22 tarot cards, the work was performed by renowned Franco-American artist Niki de Saint Phalle.

It has been an absolutely unforgettable journey, during which we ate typical products of the place, drinking good wine and participated in celebrations that much fun!
