Days 50-51: Coffs Critters
Some critters from the past few days.
We’d seen a drawing of a beetle like this guy in an 1800’s natural history book. Must have eaten his spinach with those burly forelegs.
Big ol’ butterfly that just wouldn’t sit still. We’re noticing a trend.
Not sure what these guys are. Maybe an Aussie ladybug?
Cute frog manning the map dispenser. Hate to see what happens to someone that takes two copies.
Stag having fun in the mulch in Dorrigo National Park.
One of a pair of red-bellied black snakes we saw in the botanical garden in the center of town. We later found out they are very venomous.

So were those red bellied snakes just hanging out in the garden – or were they behind glass? Scary!
Loved the guard frog…

better to find out the snake is venomous after the encounter than during.
