Days 17-19: Supertramp, part 2
We got two gorgeous days and a thurough soaking on the third. The weather was so bad that they canceled the water taxis that day, so we ended up on a bus for the ride back to the car.
The hut accomodations meant we weren’t exactly roughing it. They had flush toilets and 12 person bunkbeds with mattresses. Kelly slept next to a gal who was dreaming of being the Ultimate Fighting Champion since she landed quite a few kicks and one mighty punch in Kelly’s back while she slept.
The swinging bridge at Falls River on the track.
Kelly fording the tidal crossing a bit later than we had hoped.
Lunch on an empty beach (Onetahuti) with the locals.
