lang prubang
yesterday i was back to using tuk tuks going to see things and having locals try to rip you off. its quite nice actually. after going out and eating in the night market here we headed to a recomended bar called the hive and had a few of the famous ‘beer loas’. in a very ‘farrang’ bar with hardly any loas people but there isnt that big a choice around here. it closes quite early at 11\12 ish so then headed for a walk round the town. we bumped into these loas guys that were sat out side there house and they offered us ‘ loas loas’ , home made lethal whisky. so we sat with them for a while then decided to head home. on the way home we saw loads of people walking along a road in a parade of some sort this was qwuite odd seeing as it was 2ish in the morning. so we joined in and spoke to the locals and they told us it was a anual religious ceromany. so we walked with them to the temple and the was a big party in the temple grounds. and an hour long prayer in the temple. it was very unexpected but great fun.
the next day we headed up to the local water falls. this was a hour tuk tuk journey a way but was well worth it. even tho ther road in loas are bumpy andnot the best when we were all feeling slightly fragile. once we were there thjo it was well worth it the waterfalls were beautifull and the water an amazing aqua blue\green.
we decided to climb to the top. this was a bloody hard climb with alot of it almost like free climbing up a cliff face so we eventually got to the top and were knackered but the veiws were amazing. we went swimming and a mixture of that and the climb soon sorted any hangovers we had. getting down was actually more difficult and i was defiently finding it hard with my foot still not 100%.
probably going to stay 1 more night as this place is actually quite expensive to stay and then we are heading up north for a couple of days of relaxation in the mountains by the river.

Everyone has been struck down with bird/man flu here, hence my lack of emails. I’m not sure who started it initially (my money’s on Rachel), but whoever it was has a lot of explaining to do!!!
