Pillows = Deadly Weapons

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

Tomorrow night Buenos Aires is playing host to a pillow fight or “lucha de almohadas” of massive proportions, the Facebook event has over 7,000 attendees so far.  How could I possibly miss out on a fight of that magnitude?  The real question is whether or not to use a body pillow for maximum destruction, or just go with a soft and fluffy one for ease of use.  Decisions decisions.  Putting my policies into practice on this one, I love free stuff!

The Pantanal

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

I was scoping out some Brazilian itineraries that went pretty far into the interior of the country, and I came across a decent amount of information about the Pantanal, and now I am intrigued.  I’d love to see as much of the Amazon as I can while in Brazil, and trekking in the Pantanal would offer the best chances of seeing native critters.

The best places to stay in the region are “fazendas,” nature lodges that offer a glimpe into country life while also offering all sorts of natural activites.  The ones I’ve checked out offer horseback riding, birdwatching tours, nightspotting tours, canoeing, kayaking, the list goes on.  I may have to plan another trip for Brazil…

Tours

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008
I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of tours.  I've always been one to explore at my own pace.  I don't like being ushered about town with only a limited amount of time to see certain things.  I'd ... [Continue reading this entry]

My water bottle

Monday, November 10th, 2008
After a year or so of having this little guy, aluminum my water bottle has started to show a little character.  There are lots of dings, dents, and scratches all over the thing, and each one tells a different story. The ... [Continue reading this entry]
