Good to hear from you and will have a look at the stars. We’ve gone up to Times Square a couple of times and the last time in the night. As i mentioned in the blog it was a blast and with all that polution in the air it is difficult to see the sky let along the stars. As we were walking back Joey and Hannah pointed out to us that the moon looked very hazy. I looked up but couldn’t see it with all the buildings taking up the space. Think we’ll have to find a park somewhere to see if we can find some stars. When I looked up though there was no sign of any stars – too much light and polution.
We brought our transistor radios with us and have been tuning in when possible. It’s been surprising how bad the radio is (compared to Australia). There are loads of ads and surprisingly very little music (let alone good music) and haven’t come come across anything that comes close to Radio National. I’ll have to ask someone if there are more stations that don’t fit onto our dial.
Thanks for reading entries to dad. I’ll give him a ring this week. We went to a circus the other night and there was a clown with a mini clown (child) with him, they were a terrific team and Joey and Hannah though that they had found Jake’s calling.
We’ve just come back from Binghamton which is the birth place of Rod Serling, the creator of the Twilight Zone. Barry had linked up with a guy who is an enthusiast and he took us around to all the relevant sites, no doubt Barry will write a blog about it.
better go and get the kids moving so that we can have breakfast.

Great you are able to get some photos posted at last. Lesley was right, it sure does look like Leave it to Beaver country, especially with you guys holding your fishin’ poles!
We’ve been having some beautiful balmy days here in Canberra, just perfect for Andrew’s second visit, which was just wonderful.
Sounds like you could buy one supersize meal a day and be well fed. Of course you could try huntin’ in them thar hills for possum grits (sorry, I have just been watching an episode of Beverley Hill Billies).
Hope you’re taking plenty of video footage. Keep the great comments going, you were right Joan, the laptop was a great idea.
