Ian now has a Wii that he pre-purchased all the way back in September. Unfortunately, he didn’t pre-purchase some of the games so he only got the 2nd of his top 4 ranked games. The rest were sold out. And, even though he pre-purchased, he still had to wait outside the store in a line for like 4 hours just to pick it up.
The Wii is pretty cool. It has motion sensors in the wireless controllers so all I had to do when playing the built in tennis game was to swing my arm in a volleying motion. I know Ian’s got to have some sore arm muscles today from playing games all of yesterday on it.
I know there was all this hype about the PS3 coming out the same week but I didn’t notice much hype about the Wii. Maybe they just weren’t giving the stuff away. All the promos about the PS3 were radio contests to win.
