Hello! After 32 hours in transit, I am now in Sydney enjoying warmer and sunnier weather than what I left behind in Edmonton. When I got to LAX, I hopped on a bus to go straight to Hollywood Blvd and start a bus tour of the famous spots in LA. I saw Jack Nicholson’s home, Leo DiCaprio’;s, Jen and Brad’s old place, Britney and Justin’s old home, etc. One of the best pictures I’ve got is the school grounds where they filmed Grease! ya! I also walked down Rodeo Drive and got some great pictures of places highlighted in the movie Pretty Woman.
My flight to Sydney was on Qantas’ new Airbus, the biggest one flying today, the A380. The seats were fabulous and the personal tvs were really large. Tons of shows to choose from. My only complaint: no legroom! I am not that tall but my legs were bumping into the chair in front when the seat was leaned back. But I do recommend flying Qantas. It’s a great airline in regards to customer service during the flight.
So, I’ve already had brunch by the Harbour Bridge and Adrian surprised me by taking me to an AFL (Australian Football League) game where the Sydney Swans beat out the Richmond Tigers. AFL is a pretty neat game to watch. It is fast paced and easy to grasp the basic concepts. The short shorts also add! 😀
