Make sure when you run around outside at -30C weather, either don’t smile or keep smiling until you get inside or find yourself with smarting teeth!
The other night, I parked in a stall that was relatively far from a building’s doors. Since the cold snap was still happening, I started to run towards the building. I was smiling while running and I could feel my teeth getting cold. Not a problem but I then decided that I probably looked ridiculous smiling my way as I jogged through the parking lot and so I closed my mouth. Well, the sudden temperature change from ice cold to warm lips caused quite a bit of pain in the teeth.
Lesson: Never run in -30C with your teeth exposed.
ps. Today was a balmy -5C. It was almost shorts weather!
