Eveline and I helped Auntie Katy make 200+ chicken mince and prawn dumplings for everyone (8ppl). Jessy and Uncle Peter go to Brige club every Thursday and Kev and Lucy usually come over for dinner along with Jessy. It’s a great quality family time although they eat the Chan way: everyone in front of the tv.
Eveline and Katy folded the dumplings in the “Cantonese money pouch” way while I made mine in a more “Beijing” way. (thats what auntie Katy said) Half the dumplings were pan fried and the other half boiled with Bok choy. Yum!! Sweet Chili Sauce and rice vinegar = tasty dumplings!
Talk about being stuffed!!! I have lost about 10 lbs since flying into Melbourne but living in Adelaide and eating with the rellies will likely get me back up! I’ve been stuffed full for the past 3 days!
