Busy Saturday today! Went to see the new Batman movie, Dark Knight and then headed to Capital Ex for a little walk around and to see the larger, expanded butterfly exhibit.
I didn’t much care for the larger, expanded butterfly exhibit this year. They had a larger enclosure but all they did was put up some more benches and some merchandise. No educational display about lifecycle or where these butterflies came from or anything.
Tried a few new things on the midway today:
Deep Fried Coke – pretty good if you have a little bit. Don’t eat the bottom reminants. Reminds me of Coke gummies
Deep Fried Oreos – good if you only have 1. But I find that is true of regular Oreos as well
Funnel Cake – really large, covered in icing sugar and fake chocolate sauce and I’d say it’s average
Deep Fried Cheesecake – didn’t try it and was afraid to! May be some other time
