This past Saturday I got to skate on Oilers home ice and meet Ethan Moreau (the captain)courtesy of Beau!
Yay, thanks Beau! You’re awesome.
Beau got tickets for the private function and invited Christy, Dave, Charlene and myself for a morning on the ice. There was a private area set up so we could skate onto the ice from the Zamboni entrance and the Oilers promo girls (the ones who throw the tees into the crowd) stood around. The ice was Zamboni-ed for us before we got on the ice and Charlene sprayed Dave and I multiple times with her side stopping roost. I didn’t mind, she actually managed to get it upto my knees. Impressive but freaks me out to see her charging at me full speed. I cringed (maybe squeeked a little) every time I saw her coming.
The only time I fell wasn’t on the ice, it was walking on the rubbery flooring with my skates on. 😛
We partook in the catering (hot dogs and cookies) before standing in line to get an autrograph of Ethan and take pictures. Got a couple of shots of the Oilers door too.
I’d put up a pic but am waiting for it to be emailed to me. I forgot my camera in my car (I know, what was I thinking?!?!) so I used Charlene’s.
