This is only worth reading if you’re gonna travel in the same spots that I did. Here’s some random bus and G.H. (guest houses) prices. OK, so I’ve got to much time to kill…
Sumatra – Bukit Lawnag to Medan (bus) 7,000 rph. Bukit Lawang is destroyed though, do to a huge flood!
Bus from Medan to Barestagi 5,000 rph. Barestagi – Wisma Sibayak, 10,000 rph.
Lake Toba (Tuk Tuk) – Bagus Bay (“the Hobbit house”), 30,000 rph for four people. Nice bathroom too! Motor bikes, 40,000 rph for 24 hours.
Bukittinggi – Tan Diritt G.H. 40,000 rph for three people. Free tea and coffee as well.
Bukittinggi to Lake Manijau (bus) 5,000 rph.
Lake Manijau – Lili’s G.H. 20,000 rph for two people. Right on the lake as well.
Bukittinggi to Padang 8,000 rph. Minibus to airport 2,000 rph.
Java – Yogyakarta – Prastha Jaya Losme (G.H.) 35,000 for 3 people.
Borobuder – 80,000 to enter, 50,000 with student ID.
