Welcome to Paradise

Finally I am drifting up into the clouds beyond another world. As we are slowly going up in the sky the town is minimizing. Now that we are above the clouds it looks as if we are above a gigantic piece of of paper with cotton glued to it. Shapes and sizes are forming in the clouds as if they were doing a play in the bright white light. It has been hours in our flight since our takeoff at 9:00 o’clock. Finally they serve us breakfast. The eggs with ham inside taste delicious and juicy. The bread is a little bit crunchy. I of course saved myself the cookies for later. But the beans were deliciouses and so was the orange juice. We finally landed about an hour later in New Mexico. The flight was long, tiring, and cramped for our legs so we took our time to stretch. Our next  flight would take off at 6:00 and it was 2:45 so we had to wait at the airport for at least 3 1/2 hours. We hadn’t had any lunch yet so we grabbed a Subway sandwich and a can of soda at the airport. After finishing our delicious meal we went over to the “waiting for your gate number to show up on the TV” area as we had to wait for about two more hours to get onto our flight, in the meantime I tried to fall asleep so I wouldn’t get bored while my grandpa/Boppa checked the TV every once in a while. We thought the TVs must have gone bonkers because it half an hour or so until our flight would take off but it didn’t say wait gate we had to go to. So we walked to a person who worked there and asked him what gate we had to go to to get to our dream plane and he said gate 20. We walked to gate 20 and waited a few minutes until the plane landed in front of the bridge that let’s you walk into the plane. The next we know the time is way past six o’clock so we go and ask the lady why we have to wait so long and she told us our plane would be 30 minute late for landing ut that reason was caused because they had to change the plane’s set of tires, refill the gas tank, and unload the passengers. We waited half an hour until we were able to get onto the plane. We have now boarded and we are waiting for the plane to take off.   After 5-10 minutes, we are in the air.  On our flight they served us a drink, I just had water.  I tried hard to get some sleep, but I was soo excited.

Once we landed in Oaxaca, I took a really deep breath.  The air was a little different here, a smell that I didn’t know.  New chirps from different birds greeted me when we went to get our bags.  Just before getting to where you pick up your bags, we looked through the window and saw my Grandma Judith who was there to pick us up.  Me and Boppa finally found our bags and walked out of the airport doors to find Judith and make our way to the car.  The drive home was a parade of musical cars,  all kinds of horns of all pitches honking away.  The car shows us the way to explore the town before we get to my Grandparents B & B.  There I received a greeting from one of the people that work at the hotel, Mundo, who welcomed us back to Oaxaca.

4 of July/A day to Remember

Sunday, July 4th, 2010

Sorry folks about all of the days I missed to write a post. I can’t really remember what we did for the past few days except for Friday when we went to Legoland. It was so much fun taking a ride on a whole bunch of rides. It was an awesome day and by the end of the day we were all “pooped out” from the long and exhausting day. On Saturday we spent the night at Nonna’s house. We all went to see “Toy Story 3” and ten we went to Peter Piper for some pizza and we also played at the arcade there. When we were having pizza we also met up with our cousins for dinner. Today for breakfast we went to El Torido again. Then we went to our uncle’s house for the Fourth of July and we had lunch there but then we came back to my grandpa’s house and out here since 4:00 but right now we are leaving to go and see fireworks at my cousin Forrest’s house his two sisters Abigail and Emma and his parents Jake and Tammi. Today is the last day of me and my family in San Diego except I’m not going home with them. So Oaxaca HERE I CCCCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See the next post tomorrow (if I get to)
