Mental chaos mornings
6 Sep
Good morning alarm clock. Shut up. Hello sunlight pouring out around my tacky blue curtains. Eyes squinting, shuffle across the tile floor. Greet the little ants crawling under the back door. Ahhh, delicious; hot stagnant alley air. Clock reads 7:35 am. Yawn. Mindlessly look around. Open half-size refridgerator door. Stare in for a few seconds. Soymilk, museli, apples, bananas, tofu, jam, bread. Grunt. Close refridgerator door. Groan. Check mobile phone; no missed calls. Smack the ant crawling on my shoulder. Pick up a book and read a few lines. Too early, put the book down. Peer out the open door. Wonder if the neighbors are watching you. Flip on BBC, scan the breaking news. Lay on the unmade bed. Curl up. Roll over. Not tired, sit up. Glance at the folded yoga mat. Quickly look away.
LACK OF MOTIVATION
I’m experiencing something that I can only describe as a lack of motivation. I have ambitions here. I have goals. But in the morning, with the hot sun and the musty AC air, it’s nearly impossible to clear up the brain cloud that fogs me over.
Don’t care, hermosa rubia …. I’m filling the same for years, most of my morning… It’s not really a lack of motivation… So I just call it a hard morning… And It’s only append when I wake up alone…. And the best way I know to avoid it, it’s to avoid routine…
keep on shining 🙂
Hi, Melissa,
Do you now understand how most of the working world feels in the morning?
It’s a worldwide complaint, which stays with you as long as you are simply
going to work out of necessity. If you were truly fanatical about work and loved your job, then that morning blah feeling would be gone, and you would feel more energized.
Believe me. I have had my share of each, and prefer the enthusiastic energy, which I am reminded of when I think back to an earlier time in my life, at age 13, when I used to get up at 4:30 to go ride my bike, in every kind of weather, and deliver the Trentonian to 100 houses.
You are not alone in feeling the morning blahs. LOL
Take care and hang in there, it’s only a temporary job. It will end before you know it.
