A housewarming……

I decided to have a housewarming party for my sister and her husband at their new house in Blockhouse. Many friends and family came to help make their house a home! Even though Dad couldn’t comesince he was out on the boat again, mom and both of my sisters got to spend a ton of time together.

It was great to have family and friends so close and secretively I really liked the opportunity to get my relatives all together since our departure date is getting closer and it made it easier to catch up without trying to schedule “visiting hours”.

home for a rest?

In our first week back home we made a quick day trip into Halifax to see Andre’s brother Marcel at his birthday party – equipped with a live band, steaks BBQing, a huge pot o’chilli,a keg of beer and a ton of people, I found myself wishing that we had decided to spend the night at his brother’s place – especially as I was the sober driver! AND we found out that there was a free cab service provided back into the city WHENEVER you wanted!!! AHHHHHHhhh! [read on]
