Portland Winter
So yesterday I was awoken by a phone call and I had a wonderful talk about buliding a theatre space. This was a great inspiring “drafting & dreaming” session. In the middle of me still being in bed and having a great conversation I look out my bedroom window and see the overcast grey sky and the drizzling rain. I say to my friend “This has been the darkest wettest winter in a awhile”. It has been raining I think 27 days out of 28.
Now don’t get me wrong I like the rain and I love what the rain brings. And around here everything is vibrantly green. This I love. So today Julianna and I woke up and were going to a meeting, we stepped outside saying “good morning sunshine” and ” Oh shoot I forgot to put on my sunscreen” and ” Well I am glad I am wearing my shades and have my flip flops on.”
I guess it is just how you think of it. Rain on.

yes, rain is beautiful and all how you think about it.
i think about the water cycle (don’t laugh) when i really think about rain…
where have those drops been…
where are they going now…
what will they become when they enter the cycle again…
its really only the grey sky that subdues me…
