First up, from EW:

When the remake of the 1973 cult classic horror film The Wicker Man came out in theaters last year, I heeded the warning of most reviews and stayed far, far away. But then a friend sent me this YouTube clip of scenes from the film, and I began to wonder if I’d let The Craptacular Movie of 2006 pass me by. Any further details will only spoil the fun, but I will warn that some of the excerpts are violent in what would normally be a highly offensive way, but in this context just seemed so frickin’ random that I couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. Enjoy! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6i2WRreARo)

I still love the NY times review of that film: “The Wicker Man” is rated PG-13 (Parents strongly cautioned). Scary ladies! Bees!

It’s so very Eddie Izzard.  “I like my women like I like my coffee… covered in BEES!”

Work was quiet yesterday, although John’s father died, so we might be understaffed for this weekend’s rugby match. I have less than 2 weeks left of work. I have a lot to do before then.  Like figure out where I’m going in Ireland and in what order. And apply for an NZ work visa, and get someone to replace me in the flat. And redo my budget. Yikes. So glad I keep renting movies for my downtime… (Saw Robin Hood this morning – the Errol Flynn version). Oh! And watch the golden globes, although they’ll probably be a week late here. Not much else going on at the moment. I’m going to go do some of those things in my list…
