Climate in Dubai

Dubai is located in an arid sub-tropical region; hence its climate is quite humid and hot. It has been noted that the sky color in Dubai is completely blue and has very few clouds visible, which is why it has become a major site for astronomers.

The weather conditions are such that rain showers occur quite frequently. The period between December and March has a large amount of rainfall due to these humid conditions.

The style of clothes mostly used by people in Dubai include being very comfortably dressed since the climate is so hot and humid, which makes it hard to tolerate wearing heavy clothing, thus light clothing is generally favored. For men, t-shirts, jeans, trousers and suits are considered acceptable; while for women, long but light fabric skirts or pants are preferred so that they can be cool but their skin remains covered.

Furthermore, traditional men usually wear white ankle length robes known as dishdasha, along with a small skull cap called gafia. The traditional trousers women usually wear are known as sirwal and the long shirt being worn over these trousers is called a jellabiya.

Although the climate is quite hot, the environment in Dubai is still quite enjoyable thanks to the advancements in technology that have enabled the use of AC and other such instruments everywhere, including homes, buildings and vehicles. These advancements do make the climate of Dubai much more pleasurable.

To overcome the hot climate, there are swimming pools present at most homes. People can use them to cool themselves and to relax. Swimming pools further add to the beauty and aesthetic charm of the homes. One important thing is that there is a lot of greenery in Dubai. Parks and gardens are the ideal sort of place for families to enjoy. They attract millions of tourists from different parts of world.  These amusement parks provide different opportunities to the visitors such as play grounds, swimming pools, camel rides, gardens, restaurants, cafeterias and so much more. These places add to the respite of people. They meld with the natural look of the environment. Some of these parks include Creekside Park, Jumeirah Beach Park, Safa Park, and Zabeel Park. They are frequently visited by people and are an immense source of enjoyment for them.
