Peaceful lunch leftovers.

I just left Geneva where it was springy and I fell completely asleep in a park and woke up in a puddle of drool with Paul standing over me saying it’s raining lets go…  I was so tired I would have slept through the thunder storm.  We found the plaza where we planned to meet Sophie and Nico who work for the Quaker United Nations Office (QUNO).  QUNO occupies a lovely house in Geneva and is known for serving lunches that bring together delegates of developing and developed countries to increase dialogue on issues such as intellectual property laws, women in prison and children of imprisoned mothers, and civil and political rights for conscientious objection to military service.  In QUNO´s own words ¨since the founding of the United Nations in 1945, Quakers have shared that organisation’s aims and supported its efforts to abolish war and promote peaceful resolution of conflicts, human rights, economic justice and good governance.¨

It really started raining so we huddled against a building for a bit until Nico came riding up to save us on his bike.  The next few days included feasts on the leftovers from those famous QUNO lunches, illicite sight seeing, and THIS!?
