June 01, 2004On the Road
The title "On the Road" is probably inaccurate, since I'll be mainly travelling by plane and train and will be "In the Sky" and "On the Rails" more than anything. I chose it because... for a start I couldn't think of anything else, but also it reminds me of that feeling when you're on the move, of unlimited choices and few responsibilities. It's also the title of a book by Jack Kerouac - which I hated! - and a song by Willie Nelson. He sings about "going places that I've never been; seeing things that I may never see again; I can't wait to get on the road again," which seems like a good way of putting it. |
