December 23, 2004Bike on Train to Goa
The 33-hour train ride from Rajasthan was relatively uneventful, except that my favorite traveling shoes were stolen from under my sleeper bunk, while I was sleeping. Bastard, whoever that was...! When the train got to Margao, it would only stop for ten minutes, within which time, I had to make sure my bike was unloaded successfully. I ran to the front of the train and explained to the station guys, who knew nothing about my bike. We opened the luggage compartment, to find that several tons of parcels and boxes had been loaded on top of my bike. So began a frantic pulling of all the boxes to get the bike off in the short time available (View image, View image, View image, View image). After the stress was over, it was an amazing feeling to ride away from a train station on one's own motorcycle, that one brought along on the train!!! It was great to be back in Goa! I headed straight for Arambol, for fun and relaxation and great food... What follows are some nice images of life in Arambol: (View image, View image, View image, View image, View image, View image, View image, View image, View image, View image). Comments
