May 08, 2004My Bodyguard - Laura Croft!
Well, I've got a new traveling companion - at least for a couple weeks! Karen, who lives in London, who used to live in Germany, and who USED to live across the street from my parents has decided to join me for the 7 day climb up the Machame route of Mt. Kilimanjaro! Here we come! Just a few more weeks! Oh boy, I need to get in shape, she's gonna leave me in the dust! :) Everything is just about set, I got all the necessary vaccinations - luckily I already had some of them for previous trips - Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Polio, and Tetanus - so this time around I only needed to get Yellow Fever, Typhoid and Meningitis. I got pills for Malaria and high altitude sickness, and the lady also said that a Rabies Vaccination was recommended but at a cost of $450, I decided not to get it. I'll just try not to get bit by any lions. Comments
What you really have to watch out for, are those African bears. They always have rabies. Posted by: Sherry on May 10, 2004 07:44 AM |
