September 21, 2004Last Days in New Jersey
It's a weird mix of excitement and trepidation. Seems like it is normal for any trip but new to me none-the-less. I'm actually excited to see what it is like to be the 'fish out of water'. Moving to a country where I have limited knowledge of the language and where I know no one will be exciting, but at the same time I realize I won't exactly be blending into my surroundings like a chameleon...(a headband, anti-bush t-shirts and my fair-skinned Irish complexion should see to that). I wonder if people in other countries say things like "This is Spain, love it or leave it"? Comments
