Bangkok in a coupla weeks…

January 26th, 2006

Can’t wait, I’m leaving for Bangkok in two weeks! Accommodation for the first few days have been booked at Suk 11, thereafter I’ll be going to Pattaya for a day and then heading back to Bangkok. Only spending a week there, which to many, is very long and they go “what you gonna do for so long? only shopping in Bangkok.” While I am gonna be shopping, I hope to experience more of the Thai culture than just that!

It’s hard to believe that about two years ago I’d said to my then boyfriend, “I don’t have the desire to travel, at all. Isn’t that strange?” That was before I started backpacking about. And now I just can’t stop… I think it everyday and spend my time idly surfing sites for flights and travel advice. And that gives me a little of a high!

The first route on my mind

December 23rd, 2005

Here’s my ideal route around the world at the moment. Most likely to undergo changes, changes and more changes.

fate is tempting me

December 23rd, 2005

Hurray got my blog up and running and adding links to my sidebar. Links to blogs of people I found through bootsnall, so if you are reading this and a link to your page is on my side bar, it probably means I liked reading what you post and will be leaving it there for future reference.

The once-upon-a-time boy called today and asked to take me to any place in the world. I’m not keen because I don’t want to spend more time than necessary with someone who breaks my heart a thousand times and shows no remorse (ok he does but that’s beside the point). Yet I am itching to get out of Singapore and away from the drudgery of work and routine life. So this opportunity is presented before me, expenses all taken care of I reckon, but at the back of my mind I know that the right thing to do would be to walk away and not accept the offer. It’s just not fated. My instinct says so.

a travel blog is born today!

December 21st, 2005

For the past week I’ve been obsessed with RTW travel and have been hooked reading all the travel blogs. I especially love those with funny anecdotes and pictures.

I am hoping in a couple of years, I’d be able to save enough to embark on a RTW trip. It’s a daunting thought, both the saving and the travelling, but would be an ultimate challenge for myself to do 🙂

Travelling is highly addictive!
