Another day on the Mekong. It turns out that it's two days just to get to the border of Laos!!!!
Today's boat has the same hard bench seats which end up killing your ass after five or six hours, about 30 passengers, and NO life jackets.
Spent last night in Pakbang, a small (very small) village that ran completely on generators until about 11:00 PM.... then you were on your own for any source of light.... and man, let me tell you, it was DARK! Very cool, though. Like stepping back in time.
