October 16, 2004Meeting Foreigners
Though I´m traveling alone from home, its pretty easy to hook up with other like minding people for exploration or just beer and night life. The other striking thing is that I´m running into the same people that I saw in Mazatlan. In fact, the Denmark Brothers are following a week behind me, taking the ferry here from Mazatlan, and they have similar plans for doing the Copper Canyon train trip. The downside of making so many friends is that it can really get expensive going out and having fun. On the other hand, traveling with a group can also keep other costs down but I haven´t yet had the chance to take advantage of sharing cab fares and lodgings. Comments
