June 23, 2005Oh the sacrifices we make for freedom!
This time tomorrow, I'll be somewhere over the Pacific, enroute to Dallas. I'll be attending a conference in San Antonio next week, so I'll actually be in the US for a change. I'll get to see Melody's parents this weekend, and the next, I'll get to see my family. I'm pretty stoked about it. Melody's still out at sea, but if you want to see what her ship's been up to, check out the following link...http://www.defence.gov.au/talisman_sabre/gallery.htm After I get done with the first conference, I have to go to a second. In Hawaii. Shucks...why'd it have to be there? And, what's worse, after I finish that conference, I have a third. Still in Hawaii. It won't be all fun and games, because I actually have to give a presentation during that one. Still...it could be worse. I know Mom and Dad would prefer for me to be there than in KSA. Some pictures that I've taken in the past month or so. The emperor's palace, Tokyo..
Little Shinto Girl, Tokyo Melody at Hase Kannon Temple, Kamakura Squirrel Cafe, Kamakura (the squirrels would actually come inside to munch on nuts that the proprietress would leave for them. Really neat, but not so good from a public health standpoint...) 10000 Buddhas (give or take a few), Hase Kannon Temple, Kamakura Prayer Flags, Hase Kannon Temple, Kamakura Comments
