April 24, 2005Cool things here in Japan
One of the coolest things here in Japan has to be the variation one finds in toilets. You have the squatter types (usually in train stations), but you also have high tech toilets with heaters, washers, and blowers. We have one that has a heated seat, and male and female squirt washers. We won't elaborate much on that, but the heat option is a nice feature. Especially in the winter when it can get pretty cold. On the back of the toilet is a small faucet that you can wash your hands at. Space saving, convenient, and uses water from the tank on the back...ingenious. Sai-san, our Landlord, has a toilet that even has a remote control. Amazing. Comments
