October 17, 2004MEL'S SHIP, THE MIGHTY BATTLE KAT
I showed up on the ship after a long flight that left Atsugi Naval Air Facility, Japan in the morning, refueled in Palau (I got to see the flight line), and finally landed in Perth, Western Australia. Since then I feel as if I've been going a hundred miles an hour. I'll try to post as many photos of my life on the Battle Kat, USS KITTY HAWK... the U. S. Navy's only forward deployed carrier. We're homeported in Yokosuka, Japan. So far, I love living offbase... granted it's about 21 kms from work, but the drive is awesome in the morning... except when I'm running late... Comments
