Drop made

Today was a good day - despite a constant, nasty stuffed/runny nose. Language class was pushed back to 11:30 because our teacher had class, so I had a nice leisurely breakfast and checked my e-mail. Then I went to the barkhor, trying to go to the jokhang but couldn't find the entrance.

I still had a good time taking pics and found some tibetan coins - a 5 and 1 tsang, according to Phuntsok. I went to lunch at a hole in the wall Tibetan place more like a home, that only spoke Tibetan. I asked for noodles without meat but apparently that's all they had. So I accepted it graciously, carefully picking around the meat as the grandfather stared at me the whole time. Actually before I met up with Dorjee's (the doctor from Dharamsala) relatives and gave them their stuff with Pema Tashi's help and they asked me to chat if I had time. They are the only people I trust here besides our group - so everything was open - which I was relieved to be able to do.

I've been having trouble sleeping at night in addition to my nose and throat. I think maybe it's because I'm not getting enough oxygen.
