Itinerary

We have finally booked our tickets with only three weeks to go until departure. Although we have confirmed all the cities we are visiting, we have left most of our dates open which means we can book them when we're on the road. In instances where I have named a city rather than a country, this means our tickets have routed us through that city and we are just spending a few days there exploring the city itself. Countries marked with * mean that they are not included in our flight itinerary but that we will be visiting them either overland or by taking an additional flight.

We had to make a couple of last minute changes to our itinerary which included removing the Scotland portion of our trip. Unfortunately, this country did not fit into the milage allowance given to us by the airline alliance package we have purchased (we are allowed 34,000 miles each). We will miss seeing our friends Annie and Matt in Edinburgh but hope that we will be able to catch up to them sometime soon. We will be in Egypt in time to meet up with our friend Ashraf who will be there from Ontario visiting his family. It will be nice to have a guide in Cairo!

So here it is:

Amsterdam
Budapest
*Croatia (via train)
*Venice (via ferry)
Egypt
*Jordan (overland from Egypt)
Kenya
*Tanzania (overland from Kenya)
India
*Nepal (overland from India)
*Sri Lanka (extra flight from India)
Malaysia
*Thailand (train from Malaysia)
*Myanmar (extra flight from Bangkok)
Philippines
Tokyo
Peru
*Bolivia (train from Peru)
Panama City
Ecuador (including the Galapagos Islands)
Vancouver

Since it did not seem as though I could find a reliable hairdresser until... well, I guess Vancouver, I have reverted back to a brunette. Sorry to disappoint those of you who thought I was a natural blonde who dyed my roots brown.

Hey Brandy,

Well it looks like you are well on your way. I read the itinerary.

I always knew you had the brains of a brunette!

Anyway, Good luck and I look forward to the next update.

Wow! and I thought I went on an "around the world" journey. You guys don't mess around. I wouldn't expect any thing less from the organizing master of them all. I'll be looking forward to seeing your updates and photos but will have to hide them from Pam or she be on me like a Frodo on acid to follow your footsteps.

Brandy,
Off you go on the adventure of a lifetime....you have really embraced that whole saying that "Life is a journey not a destination"! Enjoy the journey, we'll be thinking of you!
OMG what a great itinerary! I'll be checking for updates!
