Outta Dodge

Not many people start their around the world journey by going home, but that's what we did.

With the dog in the back of the truck and the Melonball in tow, we headed west towards Vancouver. At first we thought we would go through Canada, but we ended up crossing the border at The Soo and driving across the top of the States to Seattle and north from there. It took us three and a half days of driving and we saw lots of interesting stuff and quite a few mullets and shemullets (unfortunately, no photos available). Before we left Canada, we had the opportunity to see the world's largest Loonie, which as you can imagine was quite a treat and not something that everyone gets to see in their lifetime! We saw a lot of rednecks and pickup trucks, especially through North Dakota and Montana. We also saw the Mississippi, Missouri, and Columbia Rivers. And then we crossed over the Continental Divide and home to the West Coast.

For all of you who like to make jokes about rainy Vancouver, it was SUNNY when we got here (okay, it's overcast now - but no rain yet). We have lots of visiting to do and still need to get our plane tickets in order before we head off on the next leg of our journey.

hard to believe that when you arrived in Ontario you were still recording tapes from the radio...now you've managed to create your own personal website...you're still a nerd though.
