We travelled from Granada , Nicaragua , via Tegucigalpa to San Pedro Sula in the north of Honduras on 15 August. We had made the decision while in Granada that it was time to go home . 9 months on the road had been fantastic but we were weary, tired of backpacks & budget accommodation, & Ady's ankle was still troubling him. So in San Pedro we booked a flight from Guatemala City to Mexico City from where we would fly back to England on the 24th August , arriving back for our daughter Gemma's 21st birthday on the 25th.

Last Sunday , 7th August , we traveled by bus from Costa Rica to Nicaragua. We left Liberia , Costa Rica at 8am & arived in Granada around 4pm , including about 2 hours of queueing at border checkpoints. The longest we have had to wait for a stamp in our passports.
