Hostel Celica

Day 50

Just arrived to Ljubljana (pronounced Luby-anna) from Piran. Ljubljana is the capital of Slovenia.
Wow!
This is new and it's hip and it's happen' and it's exciting and there are actually people here! The hostel is amazing! It is an old prison that was converted to a hostel and each "cell" was decorated by a different artists. It was all funded by the government and the cells are amazing! Unfortunately, I am not in a "cell", I am in a freakin' attick packed with 14 beds. We are all literally on top of each other. Back to hostel life, crap.
Downstairs in the hostel bar and reception area there is an Oriental Room. People are sitting around on cushions on the floor smoking hookas and drinking coffee. Very cool. Glad I made reservations because they are booked solid.

I met a native Slovenian named Dean. He took me around the city today... we saw the castle, the dragon bridge and a really big, really cool cathedral.
