It’s Official…We are going!
Welcome to our travel blog! Terra and I are thrilled that you have checked in on us.
this is our first post soooooooo…here goes.
I’m going to try to document this trip and the process leading up to it in as much detail as possible. We will be keeping an “old school” written journal as well but I’m hopeful that this medium will be useful to all of our family, friends and fellow travellers. My intention is to try to post at least once per week. I have no idea if this is realistic or not but I’m going to give it a shot.
Please check back with us often and make sure to either post a public comment to us here (see “Post Comment” or shoot us an email at scottnterra1@yahoo.com.
Take care. Scott n Terra

This is Terra’s mom. I am excited, proud, confident and a little nervious about this exciting adventure. I am also a 4th grade teacher and will be following them with my classroom as they travel the world. Terra was kind enough to come to my class
to meet my students and answer their questions. Needless to say this will be an excellent learning tool as well!!!! Love, Mom Hyatt
Sorry – I ment nervous 🙂
Scott and Terra:
Awesome move! We’ll definitely miss you. Let us all know where you will be on New Years Eve and we’ll tip a glass to your timezone as well as to our own! (A great way to pass several hours!!)
Happy Trails!

Scott & Terra,
Well, you’ve probably reached your first destination by now and I wanted to welcome you to the “time of your life”. I hope you have an awesome adventure and learn plenty and take lots of pictures. You know all of us have thought about taking the trip you are, but just haven’t been able to pull the trigger. I can’t wait to see and read about your many travels and experiences. Travel safe and take it all in!
T & Scott –
I’m glad you guys are having such a great time. I’m sure it’s an incredible experience, but we miss you soooooooooo much! Hopefully for us the time will go by fast. 🙂 As planned we dressed Ryan up as a “pea in the pod” for holloween and took lots of pictures (don’t worry I’ll send some to you via e-mail). She was the cutest baby in the whole world! No offense to anyone else’s baby – for those of you who do have kids I’m sure you understand the new parent syndrome. Anyway, she’s also been cooing a lot lately. I’m almost positive she’s gonna blurt out her first word sometime soon. I can’t believe she’ll already be 3 months in just a couple of weeks. I put her in her leopard outfit the other day (thanks) and she got so many compliments from people in the street – they loved it! I’ll keep you updated on your niece, so have lots of fun, but don’t forget about us.
We love you,
Robi
