September 14, 2004Crack-y tooth
Vodka pasta. Something like vodka pasta has set back our trip across the US for 4 days. On Sunday morning, I was eating some leftover vodka pasta and felt a piece of bacon get stuck behind my back tooth. I started flossing it and then felt a little piece of glass or something in my mouth. I checked the mirror and my back crown had split in half. So instead of being somewhere past Arizona, we're back in the Bay Area. We drove eight hours yesterday to come back up for me to get my crown repaired. My dentist has agreed to repair it for free. This works out nicely since I no longer have dental insurance -- one of those things I thought I'd never need. A new crown costs anywhere from $600-900. Comments
Well, I hope that you at least had a nice place to stay :-) Posted by: James on September 14, 2004 11:00 AMOweee! I've had crowns, and they're no fun. May this be the worst thing to befall your trip! Posted by: Berry on September 16, 2004 03:39 PMHey, Cathy, so, are you still in Bay Area? May be you could help with the push while you are being "crowned" :-) Posted by: Satyen on September 23, 2004 05:27 PM |
