The Taj Mahal At Sunrise
We just returned from our visit to the Taj Mahal. We caught first sight of the Taj last night with great views from the rooftop restaurant at our hostel, it was a magnificent view. In the afternoon a few of us went to visit Agra fort which was rather impressive on it’s own with great views of the Taj across the river. After an early night we woke up at 5 and the sun was already on its way up, so we headed in. As we entered we saw the great marble building glowing pink with the light of the early morning sun. After a couple of hours wondering round taking in the beauty of the building and it’s grounds we returned to the hostel to get ready for our long journey north, via Delhi.

Must have been a fantastic sight! It’s one of those places that is so familiar from photos but you need to be there to soak up the atmosphere. Photos always show the Taj in isolation without all the other buildings etc in the area and on the river. Can’t wait to see your photos! Hope you’ve had a safe onward journey north.
