Standards For Visit

Standards for visit

For the purpose of what I am trying to accomplish, which is to visit each and every UN recognised country, a visit will be recognised as any of the following:

  1. Gaining entry into a country via standard immigration / customs requirements
  2. Airport stopovers – eg a 2 hr stopover in Singapore – although this is not encouraged
  3. Visits to enclaves – eg Visiting Noumea & French Guiana is a visit to France even if you have never been to the main France – this is not encouraged

NB. Sitings are not counted eg being on the looking into North Korea territory from South Korea but not going through immigration or bungy jumping from the Zimbabwe side of the Zambezi gorge without going through Zambia territory.

Proof of Visit

  1. Passport entry and/or exit stamp
  2. Ticket stub showing evidence of travel both to and from the country
  3. Reciept of transaction from hotel, grocery store etc in a country
  4. Photograph of myself in country next to some landmark, eg Photo with self and the pyramids is sufficient proof of travel to Egypt.
