Bagel Survey
So let me ask you something….. when you order a bagel with cream cheese, do you assume that no butter will be applied to it? Let me know your bagel ordering assumptions.
The reason for this question…..well, I don’t want to speak for the whole of Canada, but lately every time I order a bagel with cream cheese, it comes doused with butter, this morning for example. I got one to go and when I got back to my room, it was dripping with butter with a side of cream cheese ready to be applied. Yuk, man.
As you can tell, this has nothing to do with my trip, just a tiny fly in the ointment this morning that I thought I would share. There are some new images up and I hope to have some more blog entries soon.
I hope all is well.

HI Jason. Just looked through the new additions in the photo gallery. Loved the stuff from the Pow Wow. Gorgeous, vibrant colours. Great looks on the faces of the kids. Looking forward to hearing you write about the experience. How did you get into it? How is it going approaching people and letting you photograph them? From the pictures, it looks like you are making progress in that department?!
BTW: thanks so much for sending my CD. Mandeep and Rob thank you too!!
All the best. Christina 🙂

Hey Jason,
great stuff … the Saskatchewan shots brought back some memories of the trip Stacey and I took there in Jan. 2003 …. the First Nation shots are spectacular.
Let me know if you want to target a particular NHL or junior league team/city that you’re approaching. There are a lot of junior league teams in Ontario (as well as in Quebec) – juniors are 15-20 years-olds; the level is kind of like college football in the U.S. — go to http://www.chl.com and check out the OHL and QMJHL (which has different letters in its logo cuz it’s French). I can help put the wheels in motion.
I hope you’re having a great time.

Hey J!
Pictures look terrific! You sure have a way of capturing kids’ expressions. Tough luck on the Prime Minister, but he will be the one jealous of missing you when you become a pop culture icon in photography!
As for bagels, as long as you have them in Montreal, it does not matter what is on them; they are excellent!
Happy trails,
Scott

Enough about the bagels already! I keep checking out your site to see what you are up to … and all I keep seeing is the bagel entry. I guess you are into Manitoba? Ontario yet? How is it going? Hope all is well. Post! 😉

Hi,
Great photos. Just a quick correction; the population of Saskatoon is closer to 250,000 than it is too 125,000 (I think it hovers around 230,000.) Glad you enjoyed your trip.

Thanks for your note! I just made the correction. I’m glad you enjoyed the photos.

Heard you on Sounds Like Canada this morning. Looking forward to browsing around here. Seen some lovely pics so far. As for bagels, actually, I wouldn’t be surprised to find butter under the cream cheese. In fact, I might be a bit disappointed if I didn’t. But then, I do LIVE in Canada… 😉
Come back soon!

Jill,
Thanks for your post. I appreciate your comments and as for the bagel, that’s what’s great about the world…you can have your bagel the way you like it. I actually had a great bagel in Toronto….it was long overdue. Thanks again.
Regards,
Jason
