my thailand xmas
hope you all has a wicked christmas and still loving the crazyness that goes with it at home. here it all seeemed quite odd the xmas spirit isnt quite here cause of course its not a christian country. but we still managed to do it in style. dont worry.
xmas eve was a massive party in ‘heavens beach’ are all time favourite bar here. the wasnt that much different than normall but with free tequila, a band all night and more extremmly pissed people. i would tell you more about it but thanks to the free tequila i cant remember much. however i now know that alcohol is by far the best painkiller for my foot so we were up on the dance floor all night….stupid i know but then im never a very good patient. this was all fine untill someone stamped on it by accident and burst it open again. so after bleeding all over the floor and drunkly refusing to go to hospital again and got dragged there by mt friend. allways a good way to spend xmas eve in hospital. but it was ok they just patched me up and sent me on my merry way.
christmas morning, well when we got up about 1 ish, we all meet at jamies bar. are friends bar and started the day of with sambucca shots. so you can imagine how xmas day went!!
but we did have a full on turkey dinner with cranberry sauce, roasts pots and everything. no sprouts or crackers tho i was dissapointed. i had even been to TESCOS (that was odd, thai tescos!!) to see if i could by some crackers but no luck. we then headed out for a bit but i was more wary of my foot so spent the night sat down mostly talking to a guy about how all the stones on cornwall beaches were time wholes to travel through time if only you got connected( to what i really dont know)!!!!! i have absolutly no idea what he was talking about that was just a bit of one of the storys that he decided to tell me. crazy bloody hippies!!
becky, bezz and jess left for sumaui so im left with just me and patrick again. but things are changing cause i was beggining to think hmmm this wasnt why i came traveling to get a job etc i wanted to see somee different cultures etc and now ive been told that they cant open a bar there so i dont have a job. this im really not to worried about cause ive had a months free board and havent really been able to go any where cause ive my foot. so will give you more exciting up dates (and photos) again soon instead of the ‘ i went here and got pissed’ ones that they seem to be at the moment. strangly as well my friend from school that i havent seen for 6 years is comming to chang mai so we are going to meet up and do new year together. this will be odd but im quite loking forward to it.

Hi Darling, glad to hear you had a great Christmas. I saw Neil and Ricky had both communicated but not your M & D! Thats awful! However it was nice to speak to you on the telephone for which we were pleased you rang.
Happy New Year! We had an excellant evening with lots of friends from the village down at Kathy and Roy’s, me in my kilt haveing to read theOde to the Haggis and then first footing them.
On Sunday we went up to Hengwm, this holiday cottage that Anya’s family have away up in the Cambrian Mountains above Aberystwyth (?). It was absolutely fabulous. No phones, mobile or land line, no tele – just blessed peace and quiet. Took Steve and Anya to the Talyllyn Railway for one day and walked all up to the top of Dolgoch falls. On Wednesday Mum, S & A all went to the top of Plynlimon the third highest mountain in Wales. It was a glorious sunny day and I drove round to the other side to meet them.
Sorry to hear about your bar. Tell us how your New Year went! Hows the foot doing?

How is it in thailand? What is the new year like. What ever you do from now on…do not try to ride a motorbike again!! Well at least not without a leather outfit and a helmet…but then again you might enjoy that bit! Pen and I are fat and happy as usual and Porter just seems to be getting bigger and brighter. Been shooting a few times and have also been taking QV apart. Soon it will be time to put her together again so looking forward to that. Work is busy and I’m off to the good ol US of A, New York for two days. Not much time to have any fun or sightseeing, but at least it is time out of the office. Have fun, stay out of gaol, and avoid weido’s. Love Douglas
