A Walk to the Local Church
Saturday, October 23rd, 2010On one bend of the Public Plaza in my hometown, Bago City, is the St. John the Baptist Church. A historical and spiritual piece that is already a part of the Bagonhons (people of Bago) lifestyle.
In here, a community of familiar church-goers gather every Sundays. And during the holy week, feast days of the diocese and on Christmas Day, a huge conglomeration of devotees and Catholics from all over the city congregate here.
The St. John the Baptist Church is a pure antique structure dating back in 1891 when it was constructed by Recollect Fr. Juan Pineda (http://en.wikipilipinas.org, St. John the Baptist Church(Bago City) Article).
A walk to the church to visit and pray during weekdays is a practice which is commonly shared by Catholics nearby.
I GO WHERE I GO…
Friday, October 8th, 2010Everywhere.
Where my feet takes me,
Where my heart pulls me,
Where my spirit longs to be.
I go where I go.
Here.
Where my purse permits,
Where my luggage fits,
Where the road map hits.
I go where I go.
There.
Where I’ll experience pleasure,
Where I ‘ll taste adventure,
Where I’ll live in leisure.
I GO WHERE I GO.
