for Vicki and Mis_n. This past week we had blizzard warnings on Wednesday and Thursday. A low pressure system was to bring in Arctic air and dump 10cm of snow overnight on Wednesday. The temperature did drop to the -20Cs and 15cm fell over the course of the warning.
My co-worker, who is from Vancouver Island, has never experienced a blizzard but was quite disappointed when she could still see her hand when she held it out in front of her although she admitted that only being able to see one block down the street was snowstorm material. Something about Little House on the Prairie mislead her conceptions about blizzards.
