This weekend I did more touristy things with Eveline. On Friday night, we both were lucky enough to have the evening off so we decided to have a night out. But when we both sat down at on the couch and relaxed a bit, we both didn’t want to move. But, considering it’s one our last opportunities together before we part, I made us go out to the Llama Bar, across the street from the Subiaco Hotel (same owners as the hotel). Out for one drink then back home to chill.
Saturday I went into the city to do some shopping to look for a dress for Justin and Theresa’s wedding as well as getting the Bridesmaid dress fitted. That afternoon we headed off to the Brisbane Hotel for Rachel’s (one of the duty manager’s) birthday drinks. Sat around there for about an hour and half when we realised that her bday drinks were probably on Sunday if no one had showed up yet…. Oh well. We had a relaxing afternoon in the courtyard at any rate.
Sunday we did a dolphin swim with wild dolphins in Rockingham. I was a little disappointed with the swim because we had to hunt for the parties a lot but considering that they are wild dolphins that choose to swim with us, it’s pretty neat to see they are willing to let people into their world for a bit of a play. I was very tired having been working until 2am that morning and then getting up at 6 am to get on the tour but I took a nap after we got back into the city before my shift.
