and I’m getting all excited! I’m leaving for Tassie on Wednesday so that’ll give me enough time to post things home, and get everything in order before the trip. This time I’m travelling with Eveline, the Dutch gal I met in Sydney on my last week there. She has been here about a week doing […]

by Bertha on 31. Jan, 2006 in Australia 2005
I did a night tour of the Jail last night. it was pretty spooky! You can also do sleepovers too. The guide, dressed in period hangman’s clothing, takes you on a candlelight tour of the jail, recalling stories of the most famous inmates and gives you a glimpse into life in a gaol around the […]

by Bertha on 16. Jan, 2006 in Australia 2005
You’d think that actually playing a sport would make it more interesting but not in the case of cricket. Fielding is just as boring in baseball as it is in cricket. But two hours killed and I can say that I got some “exercise”. Ended up dancing and doing cartwheels in the field rather than […]

by Bertha on 10. Jan, 2006 in Australia 2005
Today walking back from work, my coworker found a baby possum wandering around in the park that I walk through. It was so cute, soft and wanting to bury itself inside my coworker’ssweater, right in her armpit! She waited at the train station for the RSPCA (same as SPCA).

Friday night we had a housewarming/birthday party for one of the former housemates. He actually got a sponsorship for 4 years and is now moved into a brand new apartment! The boys had taken him to a topless bar for a couple of drink for his bday while the girls met up with him at […]
