Planning Japan

Am looking at stuff to do while visiting Japan for Vicki’s wedding. Dave and Winnie, Ange and Dustin are going too. (I think) I’ll be there for 10 days just because I feel guilty taking more time off since I already took 4 days earlier this month to go camping. I hope I can see all that I want to in that time. Any suggestions for a first time visitor? I’ve been browsing Thorntree, the Japanest National Tourist Association website as well as other internet sites like bootsnall…
It was surprising to find out that flight prices didn’t go up too much from when I looked in May to when I booked last Friday. I have a friend over in Japan right now, Brent. His blog entries are short and sweet but it’s hard for me to decide what to see according to his descriptions… I’ll be browsing the Lonely Planet Japan book for the next couple weeks for sure.
