I moved this weekend to the basement of Charlene’s place. I’ve yet to move a few more larger items and odd and ends. I didn’t pack a lot beforehand but what I did pack was well organized and labelled. Charlene helped me move the big stuff on Saturday, and we just finished getting everything into the house just as the thunderstorm rolled up so I was lucky! Sunday, Adam helped me move some more boxes and a dresser and it rained on us while we drove over but luckily it was only a light shower and not like the heavy rainfall of yesterday. All of my stuff was undamaged, just a little wet.
Charlene’s actually sleeping in the basement as well with the weather so hot. Her room upstairs is essentially ready but the other rooms and the bathroom are need finishing off. I wonder if Charlene and I will be able to help her parents finish the renos by working on the house ourselves.
